Synopsis

Lee Jooin (Seo Su-bin) is an exuberant high-schooler, who enjoys gossiping, taekwondo and community volunteering. When a classmate starts a petition regarding a child sex offender’s prison release, it resurfaces painful memories for Jooin. One of the top Korean films of 2025, selected for Toronto and BFI London, The World of Love achieves a remarkable balance of humour and pathos in its delicate handling of a traumatic subject.
